Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is a professional allied healthcare program designed to train students in the scientific and technical procedures used for diagnosis, disease detection, and patient monitoring through laboratory investigations. The program provides a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, hematology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and medical laboratory techniques. Students learn how biological samples such as blood, urine, tissue, and other clinical specimens are collected, processed, tested, analyzed, and reported. Practical laboratory training is a major component of BMLT. Students work with modern diagnostic equipment and learn techniques such as microscopy, blood grouping, hematological analysis, biochemical testing, microbiological culture, immunological testing, and sample processing under appropriate supervision.
